Best time to ride
October to April is generally the most reliable window: the north is cool and dry, the south is in its dry season, while central Vietnam can see heavier rain from October to December. March to April is a good middle ground across the whole country. We run tours year-round and adjust routing around weather when needed.
North, Central or South?
North (Ha Giang, Sapa, Ba Be): the most mountainous, best for riders who want switchbacks and altitude. Central (Hai Van Pass, Phong Nha, the Ho Chi Minh Road): the classic coast-to-cave scenery most riders picture first. South (Mekong Delta, Da Lat): gentler roads, rivers and highland coffee country.
